was filled up by him the sd. Francis Thornton, & by him delivered to  the Sheriff of this County to be executed on the sd. JohnMercer last night after the courts breaking up.The aforsd. Mercer complained to this Court, that the aforsd. Writ was executed on him in a public Manner, & that it was an Insult offered the Court which being put to the Court they are of Opinion that the same is not look'd upon as such by them & on Motion of the sd.Thornton it's ordered to be entered, that the sd. Thornton in Court declared that the Clerk of the Council gave him the Summons blank, & asked him whether the sasme should be served on the sd. Mercer in Williamsburgh, or whether he would take it up & serve him with it in Stafford.
