{ 315 July Court 1754 and his costs by him in his behalf expended. In the action of trespass upon the Case between Cain Withers [illegible] Cox def. [defendant] The Def. [Defendant] having filed his Replication the def. [defendant] [harsh?] time till the next Court to consider thereof. In the action of the trespass upon the case between George Bell [illegible] & Elizabeth Withers def. [defendant] a Jury to wit. [witness?], William Fitzburgh, [Gorvey?] Naugh, Merrimond Tiller, Henry Niggington, William Kendall, Thomas Johnson, Darby OCain, Peter Murphy, John Hisk, John Thomas, Seth Botts, and William Horton were sworn to try the [illegible] joined who brought in their verdict in these words "We of the Jury find for the Def. [Defendant] ten pouns sterling damade Gorvey Naugh foreman" which verdict of the Pet's [petitions?] motion is admitted to record, and its considered by the Court that the Pet. recover of the [illegible] def. [defendant] ten pounds sterling damage by the Jurors afors. [aforsaid] in their verdict afors. [aforsaid] assessed and his Costs by him in this behalf expended. Ordered that George Bell pay Humphry Gaines seventy five pounds of tobacco for three days attendance as an Evidence for him against Withers. Ordered that George pay Thomas Spalding six pounds of tobacco for one days attendence as an Evidence for him against Withers and for coming and returning seven miles once. Ordered that George Bell pay John Tyler seventy five pounds of tobaccofor two days attendance as an Evidence for him against Withers and for comin and returning eight miles once. Ordered that George Bell pay Jos. [Joseph] Bails seventy five pounds of tobaccofor three days attendance as an Evidence for him against Withers Ordered that Elizabeth Withers pay John Maury fifty pounds of tobacco for two days attendance as an Evidence for her at [suis?] of Bell Ordered that Geroge Bell pay John Fitzburgh Gent. fifty pounds of tobacco for two days attendance as an Evidence for him against Withers In the Action of trespass upon the case between Darby OCain [illegible] and Isaac Breed-well def.
