357 March Court 1755 were sworn to try the Issue joined who brought in their verdict in these Words "We of the Jury find for the pet. (petitioner) ten pounds damage Samiel Earle foreman" which Verdict at the pet's. (petitioner's) motion is admitted to record and it's considered by the court that the pet. (petitioner) recover of the def.t (defendant) the ten pounds by the Jurors afors.d (aforesaid) in their verdict afors.d (aforesaid) assessed and this costs by him in this behalf expended, Ordered that John Farrow pay William Tacket three hundred and forty three pounds of Tobacco for four days attendance as an Evidence for him as suit of Cooke and forcoming and returning twenty seven miles three times Ordered that John Farrow pay John five hundred and thirty six pounds of Tobacco for four days attendance as an Evidence for him at suit of Cooke and for coming and returning thirty miles once and for twice coming and returning fifty eight miles Ordered that John Farrow pay William Farrow two hundred and ninety eight pounds of Tobacco for four days attendance as an Evidence for him at suit of Cooke and for coming and returning twenty two miles three times Ordered that William Mills Francis [Srother?], James Hansborough, and Cain Withers be fined each of them for four hundred pounds of Tobacco for not attending as Jurors in the suit between Traverse Cooke pet. (petitioner) and John Farrow def.t (defendant) Then the Court adjourned till tomorrow morning 9 OClock J. Mercer
