Clerk's office of the District Court of the United States for the Eastern District of Virginia Be it remembered that Michael Cullen a native of Ireland and subject of the Queen of the Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland this day personally appeared before me, Philip Mayo Clerk of the said court and declared that it is his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce all allegiance to any prince, potentate, or State or Sovereignty whatever; particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, whereof he is now a subject. Done at the said office this 20 day of July 1850 and the 75th year of the independence of the United States of America. P Mayo Clerk of the District I certify this foregoing to be a true copy from the record In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and the seal of the said court P Mayo Clerk
