Artickles of Agreement made and Entered into this Nineteenth day of July in the year 1806 Between Philip Gaines of Grayson County and state of Virginia of the one part and Mark Johnson of the County of Claborn and state of Tennessee of the other part Witnesseth that the said Mark Johnson hath this day Bargained and sold unto the said Philip Gaines all his Right title and Interest he has or may have to a certain Negro Woman Slave Calld Hagar which was lately in the possession of a certain Frederick Idle of Wythe County which said Negro the said Mark Johnson Claimes a part of as one of the heirs and Legatees of Aaron Johnson Deceased formaly of Anna Randol County and state of Maryland and also all his Right title or Interest he the said Mark Johnson may have to any of the said Estate in any wise appertaining or belonging to the same which the said Mark Johnson have not hither to Disposd of and the said Gaines on his part agrees to give the said Johnson a Judgement he has against a Certain Boronet Clannah of Claiborn County and state of Tennessee amounting to thirty two pounds three shillings which is now in the hands of Mr. John Madison of Anderson County for Collection which a Certain John Fanning obtained against him the said Clannah in Wythe County Court and assignd the same to the said Gaines. It is to be understood that the said Johnson is to take the said Judgment if it can be collected by him by the 25th Decr next and if it cannot the said Gaines is to pay the said Johnson one hors worth Eighty dollars in Cash and ten dollars in cash if they cannot agree upon the price he is to be valued by two disinterested
