Southampton County Court, November Term 1860.  Ordered that an Overseer of the Poor of this County, To bind Nicholas Love, free negro, aged thirteen years, son of Rebecca Love, to Wm. A. Bell, and it is ordered that the master for the services of the apprentice in the art, trade, or business he is to be taught, pay to the mother twenty Dollars a year except for the two last years, which is to be retained to be paid to the apprentice when he arrives to the age of twenty one years. And the Overseer of the Poor by whom this order Shall be executed, Shall take from the master bonds with security for the payment of the said amounts. A Copy, Teste. Henry J. Howard, DC
