Southampton County Court, November 19th 1866. For reasons appearing to the Court, It is ordered that an Overseer of the poor of the County, do bind to Leonard C. Cobb, the following three boys to wit; Enoch Cobb aged eight years, Nero Cobb aged thirteen years and Jacob Cobb aged Sixteen years until they respectively attain the age of twenty one years. The master paying for the Services of Enoch Cobb eight dollars a year until he is twenty one years of age, for the services of Nero Cobb twenty dollars a year until he is twenty one years of age, and for the services of Jacob Cobb thirty dollars a year until he is twenty one years of age. Each of said amounts to be retained to be paid to the apprentices as they respectively attain the age of twenty one years and the master is to teach them or have them taught to read, write and arithmetic including the rule of three.
