This Indenture made this 8th day of February one Thousand eight hunred & thirty eight between Edward Wal- ton & John [Ganoff?] overseers of the Poor for district No. one in the county of Cumberland of the one part & Saml [Windsor?] of the said county of the other part [Witnepeth.?] That the said Edward Walton & John Garnatt, overseers of the poor aforesaid, by Virtue of an order of the courts of the County a- foresaid, hearing date February 1837, have [just?] & [illegible], one by these presents do place & bind John Jenkins a poor boy of color son of Jenny Jenkins a woman of color of the age of five years the 12th day of January 1838, born 12th January 1833 to be an apprentice with him the said Saml. Hu
