Corporation of Winchester to wit: January Term 1854 Ordered that one of the Overseers of the poor of this Corporation do bind William Banks a free negro boy aged 6 years the 1st next: son of Eliza Banks a free woman to Christopher Funk until he arrives at the age of 21 years, who is to learn him the trade of a Brick and Stone Mason, and to pay the mother for the 13 &14 years of his apprenticeship $10.00 for each year, and for the last year he is to pay to the said boy the sum of $25.00.
