This Indenture made this 14th day of May 1827 between David Street and Vincent Hardy two Overseers of the Poor of Lunenburg County of the one part and Stephen Dance of the same County of the other part witnesseth that the said Daniel Street & Vincent Hardy overseers of the poor as aforesaid by virtue of the order of Assembly of the aforesaid County bearing the date the 9th day of April 1827 have put placed and bound and by these presents do put place and bind Osborn Cooley, Muntford Cooley, Lodawick?] Cooley and Harrison Cooley four apprentices boys by the names of aforesaid mentioned.

Shall the said Stephen Dance their said Master, will and faithfully serve in all such lawfull business as the said apprentices, shall each of them but put to do by the said Stephen Dance their said master, according to the best of their power and abilities and him the said Dance Honestly and obediently in all things shall behave themselves towards their said Master and Honestly and orderly towards the rest of the family of the said Dance and each of the aforesaid apprentices do hereby agree to be orderly in all things towards their said Master and the said Stephen Dance for his part for himself his exors & admr doth hereby promise and covenant to and with the overseer of the poor and their successors and every of them for the time being and to and with the aforesaid Osborn, Muntford, Lodawick & Harrison Cooley's as aforesaid and each of them severally that he the sd Stephen Dance Shall the said Osborn, Muntford, Lodawick & Harrison Cooley's as aforesaid and each of them severally in the Craft of a [word inked out] which he the said Stephen Dance now useth after the best manner that he can or may teach Instruct and inform or caused to be taught Instructed and Informed as much as Thereunto belongeth or in anywise appertaineth; and that the said Stephen Dance shall also find and allow other things unto the said apprentices, sufficiently meat, Drink, apparel, washing, Lodging, and all other Things needful or meet for an apprentice's during the term of each of their said Services aforesaid; and also that the said Dance, will pay to each of the said apprentices, when and at the time each of them shall arrive to the age of twenty one years the sum of twelve Dollars each at the expiration of each of their terms of service. In witness whereof the parties to these parties to these presents have each put their hands & Seals the day & year first above written
