Some time ago I wrote to your office asking for an official copy of the rules and regulations as passed by the Board of Visitors of the University with reference to the admission of women to the graduate and professional work there. I also asked for a parallel list of the rules and requirements under which men would be admitted to these same departments. Your secretary very courteously reported to me that you were away from the University, and sent me the requirements for the admission of women. She also mailed me a catalog from the University, saying that I would find the requirements for the admission of women.
