This indenture made the Eighteenth day of March in the year of our lord one thousand seven hundred twenty four between John Brooke of the city of Williamsburgh of the one part and Wm Prentis of the said city of the other part witnesseth that the said John Brooke for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds of the current money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Wm Prentis before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth fully, clearly and absolutely acquit and discharge the said William Prentis his executors and administrators by these presents and for divers other good causes and considerations him thereunto moving, he the said John Brooke hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, [illegible] and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain sell, alien [illegible] and confirm unto the said William Prentis and his heirs all that [messuage?] or house standing and being on a lott in the said city number fifty one, wch house fronts the west, being 25 foot by 16 foot beside the shed, with the ground which the said house covers and runing
