I have not yet heard from my urgent letter to Mr. Stemp. I am mailing today, letters to each of the four Senate members, similar to the one I am enclosing - this being a rough draft. Letters of that same character will go to the Republican members of the Legislature this aft, or Mon. morning. I want to write a special letter to Mr. John Crockett of Wythe, an influential Democrat, & know his daughters and sisters well and know him slightly. Mrs. Richardson, Chairman school Com. of the Civic Club promised yesterday to go to work on the petition for Mr. Brown. I understand that the Bill comes before the Senate Tuesday, so these letters should get there in time and before the house about a week later. Hoping I have been able to help a little I am "[illegible]" yours W.W. Caldwell
