October 6, 1916. My dear Mrs. Lewis;-
We have just heard from Mrs. Barrow and she has agreed to change the date of the Mecklenburg meeting from the 18th to the evening of the 16th, and we have written to her to be sure to attend the speaking at Boydton and and then take you back to Clarksville with her for the evening meeting, so if she cannot go herself she will probably get some one else to see you safely through. Meeting at Blanks Hall, at 8:30.
We are also writing again to Miss Elizabeth Roberts asking that she arrange a meeting for you at Chase City on the 17th. We feel sure she must have been out of town when our last letter was sent as she is always so prompt in answering us. We hope this meting can be arranged all right.
We have sent out the Lunenburg posters all over the Country and are hoping that you will have a large crowd, and that you will have some luck there too but we have heard nothing yet. We sent literature for the Lunenburg meeting this morning to you in care of Mr. John L. Yates, Clerk of t Court, Lunenburg, Va.
We enclosed a map of North Amer. in the package sent you to Lunenburg and you can leave the one you used at D. B. and Charlotte with Miss Jackson.
Hoping that you will have as beautiful weather at Drakes and the C.H. as we are having here today, and that your trip to Lunenburg will be equally as pleasant, I am,
Cordially yours, Ida M. Thompson
