THIS CONTRACT, made this 21st day of September, 1912, by and between the SOUTHERN TENT & AWNING COMPANY, party of the first part, and the EQUAL SUFFRAGE LEAGUE OF VIRGINIA, party of the second part, all of Richmond, Va... WITNESSETH: That the party of the first part doth hereby covenant, promise and agree, to and with the party of the second part, that it, the said party of the first part, shall and will for the consideration of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) to be paid by the party of the second part as follows: Fifty Dollars ($50.00) on Wednesday, October 9, 1912, at 5:00 P.M.; One Hundred and Twenty-five Dollars ($125.00) on Saturday, October 12, 1912, at 4:00 P.M.; and Twenty-five Dollars ($25.00) on Monday, October 14, 1912, furnish the following material, men, etc.. for a motion picture show to be conducted by the party of the second part upon the Fair Grounds of the Virginia State Fair Association, Inc., during the week of October 7th to 12th inc., 1912: One black tent, 22' x 60'. One motion picture machine. Current for motion picture machine. One man and one assistant to operate motion picture machine. White screen to show pictures on. Ticket stand made on front platform. Write the slides for advertisements to be thrown on screen. The above tent and its fixtures to be put up and kept in order by the party of the first part during the week of October 7th to 12th inc., 1912, upon a location to be designated by the Virginia State Fair Association, Inc.
