The ball at the New Williard was a beautiful & a wonderful affair, tho the weather outside was a tremendous snowstorm. Beside Mrs Catt & Dr Shaw in the receiving line were many of the wives of cabinet officers including Nellie Wilson Mrs McAdoo. Beautiful women, elegant gowns, delicious refreshment perfect service, and satisfying contact our great men.
