Washington Ball New Willard 1914. Also a tea at house of Mrs Robert M. LeFollett in Washington, from four until seven oclock. Woman Suff Convention & the women of the cabinet & congressional circles interested in equal suffrage at home Friday Dec. fifth. The ball at the New Williard was a beautiful & a wonderful affair, tho the weather outside was a tremendous snowstorm. Beside Mrs Catt & Dr Shaw in the receiving line were many of the wives of cabinet officers including Nellie Wilson Mrs McAdoo. Beautiful women, elegant gowns, delicious refreshment perfect service, and satisfying contact our great men.
