To the Sheriff of [Tazette?] county, Greeting: WE command you that you summon [Eligah?] G [Southenland?] to appear before the Judge of our Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for the county of Campbell, at the Court-house, on the 2nd day of the next April term of said Court, to testify and the truth to say in behalf of German Jordan in a certain matter of controversy in our said Court, before our said Judge depending and undetermined, between [Armistead?] Song Plaintiff, and said Jordan Defendant, and this he shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of $100 And have then there this writ. Wit- ness, JOHN D. ALEXANDER, Clerk of our said Court, at the Court-house, this 10th day of [illegible] 1842, in the 60th year of the Commonwealth.
