And your orator calls on the said Stevens to [exhibit?] the same. It is also evident from an instruction of the said Endorsement that an Effort has been made by some one to Erase the said words by scratching them out, but the Effort was not successful and the Endorsement is now plain. Your Orator also states that in the face of the Bill of Sale the word 'redeemable' has been inserted in the hand-writing of said Stevens doubtless at the same time the Endorsement aforesaid was made. All of which facts go to sustain the allegations of the original Bill & your Orator prays that the said Defnt Stevens be made Defnt to this & all the allegations hereof Bill and answer the same as well as the original Bill on oath & that your Honor would decree as prayed for in the original Bill & g't such other & further relief as to Equity may seem meet &c.
