Although about sixty notices of this meeting were sent out, only five members responded and were present. Mrs. Meredith reported that Mr. Malone was ill and unable to speak in Richmond at present. Miss Greiner and Mrs. Adams have organized a branch at Newport News with Mrs. Jenning as president. Miss Paul will address this branch on March ninth. Miss Greiner reports twenty members (obtained) secured to date. It was decided to write Alice Paul asking if John Fargo could speak at a meeting in Richmond with Mabel Vernon The members present were in favor of sending a resolution to the Va. senators urging them to vote for the Federal Suf. Amend. Marion T. Read, Sec'y.
