"With the Colors" Oct. 22nd. 1918 My dear Father: Your letter written Sept 30th received yesterday, and I was so glad to hear from - Also had a letter from John said he was getting on alright but that his school was sorce than being in the Army that he had to get up at six in the morning and culd not go to bed until 9-30 at night he seemed to think that was awful - Rob writes me he is getting on alright, and feeling pretty good [I?] was so glad to hear that he is - I believe he is going to stick to it this - I wrote Mama a few days ago but we have moved again since then - Had to hike ten miles, but did not have to [preprinted at bottom "Help your Country By Savings, Write on BOTH Sides of this paper"]
