This Indenture made and entered into this Eighteenth day of April One thousand eight Hundred and twenty eight between Adlar Arrington of the first part Thos A Holcombe and John M. Arrington of the second part and Hancock & Brown of the third part Witnesseth the said Adlar Arrington for and in consideration of the sum of One dollar to him in hand paid by the said Thomas A Holcombe and John M Arrington the receipt is hereby acknowledged and being anxious and desirous further to secure the payment to the said Hancock & Brown the sum of Seventeen hundred and two Dollars & thirty one cents, due by bond bearing date the 18th day of April 1828, with legal interest thereon untill paid and wheras the said the said Adlar Arrington is in the habit of keeping a running account desires also of securing to them any account that may be created before the closing of this deed by sale and to their ends the said Adlar Arrington Hath this day granted bargained and sold and do by these presents grant bargain and sell unto the said Thos A Holcombe and John M. Arrington One Certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Campbell on Reedy Creek containing by survey one hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less and bounded by the lands of Thos Williams Benj'n Hunter John Webber and others it being the said tract of land that the said Adlar Arrington purchased of [blank] Poindexter and I do for myself my heirs Executors and administrators forever quit claim to and for the said tract or parcel of land and moreover, do warrant and defend forever unto the said Thos A Holcombe & John M Arrington a good lawfull right and title to and for the said tract or parcel of land with all and every of the appurtanances thereunto belonging free from the claim or claims of all and every person whatsoever in fee
