This Indenture made this twelth day of July one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight, between John Hubbard of the County of Campbell & State of Virginia of the one part, and James Hubbard and Polly [J?] Hubbard, of the County and State aforesaid, of the other part witnesseth that the said John Hubbard in consideration of the natural love and affection which he bears toward the said James and Polly [J?] Hubbard, and in further consideration of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said James and Polly [J.?] Hubbard, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and confess, hath given, granted, bargained, and sold, and by them presents, do give grant, bargain, and sell, unto the said James and Polly [J?] Hubbard, their heirs, the following property real and personal to wit, one tract or parcel of Land, lying and being in the County of Campbell, bounded by the Land of Wm Clement, James Moore, Benjamin Faris, and William Hubbard, containng by estimation Three Hundred and Forty acres more or less, with all the appurtenancy thereto belonging, two slaves Patsey & Stephen, and the Increase of Patsey, three horses, one yoke of oxen & cart, ten Head of Cattle, all his Slack of Hoggs and Sheep, the present crop, six feather Beds, Bedsteads, & furniture, and all his household and kitchen furniture, & farming utentials, to the only proper use and behoof of them the said James & Polly J Hubbard and their Heirs forever the title to all of which himself, and his Heirs against all other persons whatsoever warrant and defend against all claim or claims.
