This indenture made this fifteenth day of September Anno Domini one thousand and seven hundred and sixty eight between Sarah Oversheet Wife of Richard Oversheet of the County of Lancaster of the one part and William Arms and John Arms of the same County of the other part. This Indenture made this fifteenth day of September Anno Domini one thousand and seven hundred and sixty eight Between Sarah Overstreet Wife of Richard Overstreet of the County of Lancaster of the one part and William Arms and John Arms of the same County of the other part, Witnesseth that whereas the said Richard an Sarah have agreed to live separate, and the said Richard hath conveyd unto the said William and John Arms One Negroe Woman named Winny one Negroe Boy named James, one Bed & furniture one Chest and two Iron Potts for the sole use and benefit of the said Sarah Overstreet her Heirs Exrs, Admrs and Assigns in Lieu of the said Sarah's Dower of the Real and personal Estate of the said Richard Overstreet and in Lieu of all future claim and Demands whatsoever against the said Estate for Maintenance or any other cause whatsoever, and whereas the said William and John Arms have given their Bond jointly and severally unto the said Rich'd Overstreet to endemnify the said Richard Overstreet his Heirs Exrs. & Admrs against any future claim and Demand of the said Sarah her Heirs Exrs & Admrs against the Real and personal Estate of the said Richard Overstreet, In Consideration whereof, and in order to prevent the said Sarah from wasting or otherwise embezelling any of the above numerated Articles, and in order to indemnify the said William and John Arms their Heirs Exrs, and Admrs in case the said Sarah her Heirs Exrs Admrs or Assigns should hereafter claim or demand any of her part of the said Richard Overstreets Estate real or personal, and for divers other good causes and other considerations her thereunto moving hath granted Bargaind  Mortgagd and conveyd, and by these presents the said Sarah Overstreet doth for herself her Heirs Exrs and Admrs fully and absolutely grant Bargain Mortgage and convey unto the said William Arms and John Arms their Heirs Exrs Admrs and Assigns the above said Negroes Winny and James, the said Bed & furniture Chest and two Iron Potts, To have and to hold the said Negroes Winny and James & the future Increase of the said Willy, the said Bed and furniture Chest and Two Iron Potts unto the said William Arms and John Arms their Heirs Exrs Admrs and Assigns forever, to them and their only proper use and to no other use intent or purpose whatsoever, provided nevertheless, & it is hereby agreed between the said parties, that the said Sarah Overstreet shall or may at the time of her Death dispose of by Will or otherwise all or any of the above numerated Articles as she shall think proper, provided the said William and John Arms their Heirs Exrs Admrs be indemnified as above mentioned, In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have interchangeable set their Hands and Seals the day and year first above written    Sarah Overstreet her mark {seal}  Signd Seald & deliverd in presence of }  Matthew Myars Edward Ware Thos Myars
