This Indenture made this 3rd day of April 1841 between Cyrus Doggett of the first part Robert T Dunaway of the second part and Daniel P Mitchell of the third part: Whereas the said Cyrus Doggett is justly indebted to the said Daniel P Mitchell in the sum of five hundred & fifty two dollars & thirty cents cents to be paid as follows, to wit, one hundred & fifty dollars on the 19th of April 1841, one hundred & thirty four dollar & ten cents on the 1st of September 1841, one hundred & thirty four dollars & ten cents on the 1st of March 1842 & one hundred thirty four dollars & ten cents on the 1st day of September 1842, as will fully appear by reference to four several bonds, which debt with the legal interest thereon accruing, the said Cyrus Doggett is willing & desirous to secure: Now this indenture witnesseth, that for & in consideration of the premises & also for the further consideration of one dollar of lawful money of Virginia to the said Cyrus Doggett in hand paid by the said Robert T Dunaway at or before the ensealing & delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he the said Cyrus Doggett hath given, granted, bargained, sold & conveyed & by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell & convey, to the said Robert T Dunaway, his heirs & assigns forever the following property, to wit; one negro man Tom, negro woman Sucky & negro woman Becca To have & to hold the sd. negroes with all & singular the estate, right, title & interest
