This Indenture made this 4th day of September 1837 between Peregrine Echols of the County of Campbell of the first part, William H. Horton, and Charles Edward Davis of the same County of the second part, and Micajah Davis jr executor of the last will, and testament of Henry Brown jr deceased of the third part, witnesseth: That whereas the said Peregrine Echols is justly indebted to the said Micajah Davis jr as executor as aforesaid in the sum of fifteen Hundred dollars, evidenced by two bonds bearing even date with these presents, the first for seven Hundred, and fifty dollars payable twelve months after the date thereof with legal interest thereon from this date until paid, and the second for the sum of seven Hundred, and fifty dollars payable two years after the date thereof with legal interest thereon from this date until paid — And whereas the said Peregrine Echols is desirous effectually to secure the payment of the said debt with it's accruing interest — now to that end, and for the further consideration of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid by the said William H. Horton, and Charles Edward Davis, he, the said Peregrine Echols hath granted bargained, and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain and sell unto the said William H. Horton, and Charles Edward Davis, and to their Heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns forever the following real, and personal property to wit: a certain tract, or parcel of Land with it's appurtenances containing three Hundred, and fifty acres more, or less, situate in the County of Campbell on the waters of the hold
