At the regular Quarterly meeting of Cumberland Baptist Church held at Booker Meeting house this day, there being no business on the minutes, the church proceeded to appoint delegates to the next session of the James River Association, Viz.: Elder Thomas E. Reynolds & brethren John D. Jenkins and John [C?] Reynolds to the James River Baptist Sabbath School Convention. Brother John Sanderson raised the question, "Whether we should commence preaching at Jenkins meeting-house, and continue the regular preaching, as heretofore, at this place, whereupon it was decided that preaching should be monthly at each place. On motion to adjourn, it was carried.
