I Joseph Mayo Mayor of the said City do hereby certify that I have this day committed Reuben slave of James H Taylor to the jail of the said City that he may be tried by the Hustings Court of the said City for a felony by her committed in this that on the 11th day of January in the year 1863 at the City of Richmond and within the jurisdiction of the Hustings Court of the said City she did feloniously steal take and carry away divers paper writings of value commonly called Treasury notes of the Confederate States of America for the payment of money and of the value of one hundred & fifteen dollars of the paper writing money and property of Samuel D Pullen
