October 11, 1918. Dr. James L. Kent, Pulaski, Va. Dear Dr. Kent:- I have your letter advising me that you have made application for appointment in the Medical Corps of the Army, and that you desire to resign your position as a member of the Medical Advisory Board #36 of Virginia, upon the ground that you will find a wider sphere in active service. I desire to express my appreciation of your valuable service rendered your country in this great crisis during your membership upon the Medical Advisory Board.
