Tea Cake. 3 cups of sugar, 3 eggs, 1 cup of butter, 1 [illegible] of milk, a spoonfull of dissolved pearl ash, + 4 cups of flour, well beat up. If it is so stiff it will not stir easily, add a little more milk -
