To the Sheriff of Accomack, Greeting: We command you as we have oftentimes commanded you, that you summon George Downing, free negro, emancipated since 1st of May 1806 to appear before the Justices of our County Court for the said County, on the first day of the next May term to shew cause why an information should not be filed against him, upon a Presentment of the Grand Jury, made against him in the said Court, for remaining in the Commonwealth of Virginia against the Acts of [Asssembly?] made and provided in such cases- and have then and there this writ.
