Christ Church of Spotsylvania County Was Surveyed

This report describing a Spotsylvania County church is a part of the Federal Works Progress Administration's Virginia Historical Inventory project. The project strove to inventory the vernacular architecture and history of buildings constructed before 1860. Many reports, such as this one, included photographs of the building, in some cases providing the only extant visual record for structures that no longer exist. VHI researchers also wrote reports on cemeteries, antiques, historical events, and people, and included transcriptions of land grants, wills, deeds, diaries, and correspondence. Christ Church continues as an active Episcopal church today.
