Abstract

Contains a petition of the Hanover Presbytery, on behalf of themselves and all the Presbyterians in Virginia and all the Protestant dissenters elsewhere, to the Speaker & House of Burgesses asking for free exercise of their religion. The petition is signed by David Rice, Moderator, & Caleb Wallace, Clerk, at a session of the Presbytery in Amherst County, November 11, 1774.
