The Commonwealth of Virginia, To the Sheriff of Campbell county, Greeting: WE command you that you summon Henry M [Dialah?] to appear before the Judge of our Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery for the county of Campbell, at the Court-house, on the 2nd day of the present term of said Court, to testify and the truth to say in behalf of Armistead Long in a certain matter of controversy in our said Court, before our said Judge depending and undetermined, between said Long Plaintiff, and German Jordan Defendant and this he shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of £100 And have then there this writ.
