THE COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA To the Sherif of Campbell County: Greeting: We command you to summon Samuel M. Lambeth to appear before the Judge of our Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery of our county of Campbell, at the Court-house, on the 1 day of May term next, to testify and the truth to speak in behalf of German Jordan in a certain matter of controversy then and there depending and undetermined between Armistead Long Plaintiff and Said Jordan Defendant And this he shall in no wise omit, under the penalty of $300.
