Young vs Vass's Exor } This cause came on this day to be heard on the bill answer and exhibits and particularly upon the Exhibit C with the writings thereon signed by the counsel for the plaintiffs and defendant, and was argued by counsel, on consideration whereof the Court being of opinion that as by the laws of the State of North Carolina emancipated negroes are not permitted to migrate into the said State, the plaintiff has no right to receive of the defendant the sum of two thousand dollars mentioned in the bill, doth adjudge order & decree that the bill be dismissed and that the plaintiff & defdt do each pay his own costs by him in this suit expended.
