Commissioners Office July 16th 1851 The above account was made out by the directions of Henry Showalters. It is founded upon the Defendants evidence taken at Mr Bushes Mill, the evidence of the witnesses there taken being averaged allows the Defendant $48 40/100 per year for raising young negroes to the age of ten years old, the hire of Matilda is put at $4 per year that of the boys at $15 per year from the age of 10 to 15 years old, from 15 to 20 years of age at $25 per year and from the age of 20 at $50 per year, the hire of Maria at $15 per year from the age of ten to the present & that of Adaline & Amanda at $8 per year from the age of ten to the present. Besides the expense of raising the Defendant likewise asks in this account a credit by $330 23/100 with interest thereon from the 12th of November 1819, this being the am't he alleges was paid by Wm McCormick to Cornutts estate for the
