To John R. Bennett and Eliza M Bennett his wife Take notice that on Thursday the 12th, day of August 1841 at Eldridge's store (Brooklyn) in the County of Halifax I shall proceed to take the deposition of John Chumney & others and on the Saturday following at Laurel Grove Post office in the County of Pittsylvania the deposition of William Jackson & others and on the 16th day of August 1841 in the Clerk's office of Pittsylvania County the deposition of Robert Wilson & others and on the 23d day of August 1841 at the tavern house of Nathaniel Poindexter at Halifax Court House the deposition of James Hedley & others to be read, as evidence in a suit now pending in the Circuit Superior Court of Law & Chancery for Halifax County on the Chancery side of said Court in which you as administrator of Abner C Shelton decd. are plaintiffs and I am defendant The said depositions will be taken at the several places mentioned between the rising & setting sun of each day. If the depositions aforesaid should not be completed the taking of the same will be continued at each place from day to day until they are Yrs &c Frs. L Royall Aug. 10th 1841
