The Commonwealth of Virginia to the Sheriff of Halifax County Greeting: Whereas in a suit depending in our Circuit Superior Court of Law & Chancery for the County of Halifax Between John Bennett & wife Plaintiffs and Francis L Royall, John B Royall & James S Easley defendants such proceedings have been had as appears by the Records & files of the said Court But before a final decree could be obtained in the said cause the said John B Royall departed this life intestate and by an order of the Cir. Superior Court in & for said County at the instance of the said Littleberry Royall was committed to Thomas L Spragins Sheriff for Administration according to Law Therefore we command you that you make Known to the said Thomas L Spragins the Administrator as aforesaid that he be at the Clerks Office of said Court at Rules to be holden for said County on the first Monday in June next to shew if any thing for himself he hath or can say why the said suit should not be proceeded in against the said Thomas L Spragins Administrator of Jno B Royall decd and have then there this writ Witness William Holt Clerk four said Court at the Court House this 8" day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty Seven Wm J Holt DC
