To Phillip Williams I am authorized to inform the Vestry of Christ Church Frederic Parish, which I do through you that at a late meeting of the vestry of St, Thomas' Church St Thomas' Parish the following resolution was unanimously adopted. Resolved the [that] the connection heretofore existing between this and Frederic Parish is now dissolved I am instructed to say, that the motives for adopting the above resolution are [illegible] for the benefit of the church - by the separation, we will be enabled to pay our Pastor more and by giving a part of his time to Front Royal & Woodstock will be both extending the benefits of Episcopal preaching and putting ourselves I trust, in a situation permanently to appoint a minister It is also thought, by each Parish being thereon entirely upon its own resources, more zeal and energy will be elicited in the cause of our holy religion May God in his infinite mercy grant that our most sanguine wishes may be more than realized
