Dear Brother

I read last week a letter from Mr

Peyton enclosing a draft on the Exchange Bank of Alexan(der) [illegible?] for $425. 76/100 which he had collected from Judge Calhoun- of that sum the children of my Miner, Elbner Davidson, are Entitled to one sixth - ie $35.48. I accordingly enclose a check on the Farming Bank of Winchester for their share -

Mr. Peyton requests me to [illegible?]

a Receipt for each share holder - I therefore ask this favor of you to write to Alexander Davidson to forward a Receipt direct to Mr. Francis Peyton at Hardinsburg Ky.

The bal(ance) of our money may be expected

this fall. Affect(ionately) Yours James M Hite
