Mrs. Lila Meade Valentine, Such feeling of sympathetic interest cannot help but come back to the States which offer it. I made a hasty trip to Ohio on my way South and, while I realize it is going to take a great deal of work to win the State, the women are surely making a decided effort to win. If Ohio carries I shall not feel so anxious for the other States for the effect of carrying that one State will be a tremendous incentive to the other States to grant the suffrage and after that we shall have very little trouble. Things do look very favorable in our country now and I certainly hope before long there will be a break in the South. I should not be at all surprised if Texas were to make a break before long, suffrage sentiment is very strong in that State. Wishing you all success. Faithfully yours, Anna H Shaw per J.C.
