Greensvill Jany. 27th. 1786 Know all men by them Presents that we Jesse Butts and Benja. Simmons of the County of Greensvill are held and firmly bound unto the Executors of Wm Parham decd. the sum of Two Hundred & Fifty pounds current money to be paid unto the said Excrs. their ceartain attorney their Admrs or Assigns to which payment to be made we bind ourselves our Heirs Exrs. and Admrs. jointly & severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 27th day of January 1786

Whereas William Parham decd. late of the County of Brunswick by his last will and testament devised to his daughter, Nancy Lucas Parham a sertain share of a part of his Estate, and by an order of this County Ct lately made to have the said estate divided among the legatees and also at the desire of the Sd. Jesse Butts who married the Sd. Nancy Lucas Parham we the Exrs. have proceeded to the division of the sd. Estate, although the said Estate is not entirely settled

The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bound Jesse Butts & Benja. Simmons do at all times (in case there should require the raising more money from the sd. Estate so settle it) pay his proportion or produce to the sd. Exrs. so much of his lot or proportion of the said Estate that will be sufficient to raise so much money, then the above Obligation to be void or else to remain in full force & virtue
