John4 Burcher and his wife, Elizabeth Garrow Burcher, were parties in a lawsuit August 7, 1792 relative to the estate of Robert Hay, a kinsman. (York Deeds No. 7, p. 63) They also gave a deed for two lots in Yorktown to John Hay Bryan dated February 18, 1793. This transaction was also as a result of the same lawsuit. This John4 Burcher died before the 1810 Census and Elizabeth Burcher gave to the enumerator the information about her family. It shows that there were three children: 1 male under 10 years of age 1 male between 10 and 16 1 female between 10 and 16 1 female between 26 and 45 Using this information is appears that: Elizabeth Garrow Burcher was born between 1765 and 1784 maybe around 1780. She had: (A) 1 son born between 1794-1800 (B) 1 daughter born between 1794-1800 (C) 1 son John5 Burcher born 1800-1809, more specifically by November 17, 1805 force was named in his Garrow grandfather's will. The children of this John4 Burcher would have been contemporaries of the children of William1 Burcher of York and later of Warwick County. Nothing is known about the two older children, namely, (A) and (B).
