(K) Richard5 Douglas Wynne born July 4, 1896 died July 14, 1952. (Tombstone in Grafton Christian Church Cemetery.) --- G. James4 Cornelius Wynne, son of Martha3 Curtis Wynne and her husband Edmund T. Wynne, was born December 13, 1847. He married first, Lucy Elizabeth Wade February 16, 1869. She was the daughter of Chidley and Nancy Wade and lived at the "Wade Farm" (formerly the Pescud-McWilliams Farm) in York County. They were married by H.H. Wynne. She was born May 9, 1846 and died November 4, 1892. She was the mother of six children. He married secondly, Nellie Gray, daughter of William and Ella Gray, December 21, 1893. His children were: (A) Edmund5 Wade Wynne born October 16, 1870; died July 20, 1892 (B) William5 F. Wynne born April 25, 1872; died August 5, 1892 (C) Richard5 H. Wynne born February 27, 1875 (D) Edwin5 E. Wynne born February 14, 1877; died July 19, 1892 (E) Robert5 Wade Wynne born November 29, 1878 (F) John5 C. Wynne born July 14, 1883; died February 18, 1884 (G) James5 L. Wynne (H) Isaac5 E. Wynne born May 19, 1886; died June 22, 1887 (I) Bettie (Bessie) M. Wynne Tragedy really struck this family in 1892 when three grown sons died from the effects of typhoid fever. (Church record) James C. Wynne died January 11, 1910. His will was written October 12, 1909 and probated January 15, 1910. In it he named three children: Richard H. Wynne, James L. Wynne, and Bessie M. Wynne. The sons were the executors. From his estate sale my father bought a wash stand and Bible table; also a golden oak large side board with a bevelled edge mirror.
