Norfolk Borough At a Quarterly Session Court continued and held the second day of July 1819.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that Walter de Lacy a native of the Town of Enniscorthy, in the County of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, is entitled to become a citizen of the Commonwealth of Virginia, he having complied with the Act of Assembly and having also made oath that he will support the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia and absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatsoever, & particularly the Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. And it moreover appearing to the Satisfaction of the Court, that he has demeaned himself as a man of good moral character, attached to the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same The said Walter de Lacy is thereupon admitted to become a Citizen __ And the said Walter de Lacy also declared his intention to become a Citizen of the United States at a future day A Copy Teste Wm Sharp CC
