State of Virginia. At a Court held for Norfolk County the 18. day of October 1854. Michael Moran an alien who has lately arrived in the United States and in desirous of being naturalized a citizen thereof this day appeared in Court, and in pursuance of the act of Congress mad a report of himself, which report is in the following words, to wit: I Michael Moran make the following report of myself to the worshipful Court of Norfolk County - I was born in the Kingdom of Great Britain in Ireland in the County of Galway, in the Town of Hertford parish of Klaran in the Year 1824 being about 30 years of age am a subject of Victoria first, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and landed in the City and State of New York on the 12th June 1848. He intends to settle in the County of Norfolk State of Virginia and makes this report of himself for the purpose of becoming a citizen of the United States. Given under my hand this 18th day of October 1854 Michael Moran And the said Michael Moran declares on oath that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the Unites States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign prince potentate, state or sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland - Copy Teste Arthur Emmerson C.C.
