Charles Citty County Sst: May it please Your Honour Persuant to your Honrs: precept dated at Williamsburgh the 28th of April 1711: I Drury Stith sherriff of ye County above said doe hereby certifie to your Honr: that the administration of Justice in the said County Court is greatly delayed and whereas your Honr is desirous to be Informed from whose fault such delayes do proceed that you may be the better enabled to distinguish such persons as out of a due regard to the Service of their Country do regularly attend the administration of Justice in their county courts, I do hereby certifie to your Honour that Samuell Harwood George Hunt and Samuell Harwood Junr Gent: were at Westopher on the last Court day, and as for the Rest of the Gentlemen which are Sworne by the last Commission from your Honr. I understand designes to transmitt their Reasons for their Refusiall to Sitt and act as Justices forthwith to your Honr. that Justice may not through their neglect be any longer delayd which reasons Some of them offered to the last Court sitting that they might have been Transmitted to your Honr from that Court but they were not Received &c Certified by Yor: Honrs most dutifull Humble: servant Drury Stith Octobr: the 12th 1719
