Mr Newton

Dr [Dear] sir

I suppose that you have bin [sic] Noiticed to stop the sale of the Campbell place by part of the heirs, (three of them would not sine [sign] the injunction), and now as we took - them at their own proposition for you to see Col. Baldwin if they cannot be ruled to give security and whether it would not be safe to go on and sell notwithstanding the injunction. I would come down and see about it myself but cannot as I have to go to fairfield - tomorrow as register Respectfully yours Thomas McCormick
