This mutually agreed between John Mays and Saml. Blackburn that said Blackburn will appear as his atty in the trial of an issue directed by the chancellor in the superior court of law for Greenbriar County [betwixt?] Joseph Mayse and John Mayse depending in the Lewistring chancery court - that for his services he shall receive at all events sixty dollars & in the event of a verdict amounting to eight hundred dollars the fee of one hundred dollars and if his attendance shall be necessary more than once shall have his expenses borne by the said Mays Signed S. Blackburn & Jno Mayse Blackburn charged [illegible] [illegible] he added to the note for 2 attendance agreement dated Augst. 10th 1820 on the 30th Nov. 1824 - Mr. John Mayse writes to Genl.
